As the tendrils of my breath float up, I find my gaze drawn up through the branches of the evergreens that surround my home.
I breathe in, I breathe out. In, with the cold refreshing air, out, with a puff of warm moist breath. In. Out. In. Out. In, out.
I am brought to this moment. Carried back gently and with love from the dark places I drifted off to, and brought to the gentle light of the moon. The clouds shift and form, showing me how to change.
I smell cinnamon and sugar on my plaid jacket borrowed from J. My feet are on the cold, wet ground. I hear the droplets of water lightly plop around me in the grass and on my face after their slow accumulation and dissent from the tree branches overhead.
I am alive,
I am whole,
I am home,
I am here, now.
